Wesleyan College is proud to announce that Abby Gleaton, a first-year student from Macon,

GA, has been selected as the institution’s first-ever Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Campus Connect Ambassador. Gleaton, a marketing major and standout player on the Wesleyan College soccer team, was chosen by the CCS for this prestigious role due to her strong leadership, academic dedication and passion for making a positive impact both on campus and within the athletic community.

Gleaton has already made a name for herself during her first semester at Wesleyan. In addition to her athletic achievements, she has volunteered with the college’s communications team, helping create dynamic content for Wesleyan's athletics social media accounts and assisting in developing strategic marketing campaigns to showcase the unique and vibrant student experience at the college.

“We are incredibly proud of Abby and thrilled that the CCS has recognized her for this special role,” Wesleyan College Creative Director, Harrison Tarr said. “She is a natural marketer with an outstanding attitude. Her passion for uplifting Wesleyan athletics and growing the brand for the institution makes her the perfect fit.”

The Campus Connect Ambassador program is a regional initiative within the Collegiate Conference of the South that highlights students who demonstrate exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to connecting their campus to the broader community. Rather than being nominated by Wesleyan College, Gleaton was selected by the CCS itself, reflecting the conference’s recognition of her leadership potential and dedication.

As Wesleyan’s Ambassador, Gleaton will capture and share the student-athlete experience, advocate for mental health awareness in partnership with Morgan’s Message, promote sportsmanship and positive culture within Wesleyan’s athletic department and celebrate fan engagement through the Most Valuable Fan program. Through these efforts, she will help strengthen both Wesleyan’s athletic community and its connection to the broader CCS region.

"I am so excited and grateful for this amazing opportunity to combine two of my passions of soccer and marketing, together and be able to share them with the world,” Gleaton said. “I’m honored to have been given this unique opportunity and I am hopeful to make a positive impact through showing everyone how exciting it is to be a student athlete at Wesleyan."

Gleaton’s appointment as the CCS Campus Connect Ambassador is a testament to her remarkable leadership abilities and her dedication to both her academic and athletic pursuits. The Wesleyan community looks forward to seeing the positive impact she will make in her new role and is excited to see her continue to thrive at Wesleyan.

Wesleyan students choose to study here because they want to test their limits. The bar is set high because our students demand it.
