Preparing Future Nurses Through Real-World Simulation

What happens when an emergency unfolds, and you’re the one responsible for saving lives?

Wesleyan College nursing students recently stepped into that reality during a live disaster simulation on campus. The staged mass casualty incident involved a driver experiencing cardiac arrest who struck a group of pedestrians, requiring students to rapidly assess victims, triage based on injuries, symptoms, and vital signs, and respond in a high-pressure environment.

The timing of this drill is especially meaningful, as these senior nursing students will graduate in just over a month. Experiences like this play a critical role in preparing them for the realities of clinical practice.

“It’s very important. You don’t want to be a nurse facing a situation like this without ever experiencing it,” said nursing student Sarah Grace Self. “That’s why having the opportunity to practice triage and gain real, hands-on experience is so valuable.”

Designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world care, simulations like this allow students to apply their knowledge in a controlled, high-intensity setting while building confidence and clinical judgment.

“The main thing I want them to walk away with is developing confidence in themselves,” said Dr. Alex Roberts, Associate Professor of Nursing. “Instead of just talking about it, they’re actually doing it in a safe way. There’s nothing like it in terms of enhancing their skillset.”

Experiences like this are made possible through strong community partnerships.

Wesleyan extends its sincere thanks to the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department and Community Ambulance for their support and for demonstrating how emergency teams coordinate care in real-world situations. Their collaboration plays an essential role in preparing the next generation of nurses.

geometry vibes is not just about fast reflexes; it also challenges cognitive abilities. Players need to process visual information quickly while coordinating their actions with the rhythm. This creates a high level of mental engagement, especially in advanced stages. Over time, players improve their focus, timing, and decision-making skills, making the game both entertaining and mentally stimulating.

The multiplayer nature of steal a brainrot creates constant tension. Every player is both a builder and a potential threat.

This leads to:

  • Unpredictable PvP encounters

  • Sudden base raids during resource farming

  • Alliances and betrayals in public servers

  • High replayability due to dynamic player behavior

No two sessions feel the same, which is a major reason for the game’s popularity.
