Christine Forsythe of The Forsythe Law Firm, LLC has been a licensed attorney for more than a decade, practicing in both Georgia and Florida. She has worked in the criminal and civil arena but spent the vast majority of her career as a trial attorney/litigator for one of the largest insurance companies in the United States.
She brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to her clients, and her cases.
In her most recent role prior to starting her own firm, Christine served as claims and litigation counsel for a national company managing a decentralized claims department and all the company’s litigation. She has significant experience handling cases from beginning to end and has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict. She has also zealously represented her clients to resolve cases at mediation.
Since she was a high school student in her homeland of Jamaica, Christine knew that she wanted to be a lawyer and set a very deliberate path to accomplish her goal. At Wesleyan, she majored in communication and minored in English, graduating magna cum laude, and stayed active in the Student Government Association. Serving as SGA president her senior year, she became an advocate for her peers and honed her skills in public speaking.
Internships with the Bibb County Indigent Defense Office, the law office of J. Michael Cranford, and a job with the Atlanta firm King and Spalding further fueled her drive and passion for the legal field. Her senior year, Christine had the high honor of being selected by her peers as Wesleyan Woman of the Year. The award is based on three principal traits: leadership, dedication to the Wesleyan community, and friendship to others.
After being accepted into several prestigious law schools, Christine enrolled at the University of Georgia and graduated in 2009. During law school, she demonstrated her skills and passion for oral advocacy by representing UGA in both moot court and mock trial competitions throughout the country.
Christine is very active with the American Bar Association (ABA), tort trial and insurance practice section. Since graduating the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section Leadership Academy in 2019, she serves as the organization’s chair and vice chair of several committees, including: the Committee on Outreach to Law Students; Law in Public Service; Litigation and Trial Practice; Business Litigation; Corporate Counsel; Ethics and Professionalism; as well as a Task Force centered on Practice Renewal and Integration. Christine is a member of both the Georgia and the Florida bar associations.
Christine lives in Atlanta, Georgia. When she is not practicing law and volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and their very active eight-year-old son Michael. She loves to travel, meet new people, and explore different cultures.
