President Meaghan Blight reflects on her three years of leadership at Wesleyan College and the journey that brought her family from Canada to Macon. Inspired by the women in her own family, she shares her commitment to removing barriers so women can achieve their goals.
Under her leadership, Wesleyan has experienced a 148% increase in deposits since last year, transitioned athletics from NCAA Division III to the NAIA — allowing the College to offer athletic scholarships — and expanded recruitment efforts at the NAIA level. The College has also added new athletic programs, including women’s wrestling, ice hockey, cheer and dance, and flag football, along with the forthcoming renovation of Porter Gym.
During her recent interview with The Creek FM, she also discusses the impact of the SHE WILL campaign and how supporters can give to advance Wesleyan’s mission.

What I like about ABC ID is that it simplifies the process of storing and sharing academic information. This can be very helpful for students when applying for higher studies or jobs.
What I like about Ladli Behna Yojana is that it directly focuses on women’s welfare. Supporting women financially also helps improve the overall well-being of the entire family.
What I like about the Samagra Portal is how it simplifies access to different government schemes. Instead of dealing with complicated paperwork, people can now complete most tasks online in a much easier way.
I believe PM Vishwakarma Yojana can bring positive change if implemented properly. Many workers just need the right support and guidance to take their work to the next level.
