During summer commencement on Saturday, August 17, 2019, Wesleyan College awarded diplomas to seven students who earned their bachelor of arts degrees, ten students who earned their master of education degrees, and twenty-three students who earned their executive MBA degrees. In addition, thirty-nine dual degree students from Guangzhou University in China were presented their bachelor of arts degrees, in absentia.

Tanzy D. Kilcrease, Ed.D., assistant superintendent of teaching and learning, Bibb County Public Schools, delivered the commencement address. Macon native and Wesleyan alumna Hannah L. Allen ’80 represented the College’s board of trustees.

Executive MBA Program Director Dwight Hines said, "I am proud of the work Cohort 33 accomplished during the 18-month program. I always admire those who are willing to add to their everyday lives in pursuit of an advanced degree. It was an honor to work with this talented group of students from diverse careers. I am confident cohort 33, like their fellow MBA alumni, will apply the knowledge and professional development gained throughout the program to progress in their careers or begin new careers." Hines is a 2012 graduate of the program.

About Wesleyan College

Wesleyan draws a wonderfully eclectic mix of women – about 700 in all – from across the United States and more than twenty countries, bringing to campus a multitude of backgrounds and ethnicities. Wesleyan students choose to study here because they want to test their limits. The bar is set high because our students demand it. First for Women isn’t just a claim to fame - it’s a philosophy that explains why Wesleyan women continue to make history today.  Read More
