Wesleyan College welcomes new members to board of trustees

Wesleyan College is proud to introduce three new members to its board of trustees. Each received unanimous support from the current board and will begin their terms of service in October.

She also serves on the Lottie Felder Bowen Endowed Scholarship for Leadership board, an endowed scholarship created by her father to provide scholarships each year for one first-year student, one sophomore, one junior, and one senior who possess outstanding academic ability, leadership qualities, and sound moral character. Charlotte is a former member of the board of trustees for the Museum of Arts and Sciences.

Before retiring in 2008, Wesleyan alumna Betsy Martin Bunte, Class of 1968, served as chair of the English Department at Campbell High School in Smyrna, Georgia. In 2001, she was named Campbell High School Teacher of the Year, Cobb County Teacher of the Year, runner-up to Georgia Teacher of the Year, and one of 120 Milken Family Foundation National Educators. During her career, Betsy led many professional development programs, mentored beginning teachers, served on school committees, worked for the Cobb County Governor's Honors Program, and participated in a teacher exchange program to Ukraine. In addition, Betsy received the Wesleyan Alumnae Award for Distinguished Achievement in a Profession in 2002.
