Earlier this month, Wesleyan welcomed Alexandra Yancey to the office of student affairs as director of student involvement and leadership. Most recently Yancey served as a graduate assistant in the leadership office, greek life, at Georgia State University. She is coming to Wesleyan with over five years of professional experience in higher education and has held positions in residence life, orientation, and leadership. "I think the years you spend in college are an amazing time for learning and growth, not just educationally but also as a person, and I am excited to be a part of that experience for Wesleyan students!"
Yancey earned her bachelor of arts in English and her masters of social work from Georgia State University. She has also held internship positions with Partnership Against Domestic Violence and Truancy Intervention Project, Inc.
"The beautiful campus and opportunity to work with students in such a close way brought me to Wesleyan." Her office is located on the second floor of the Olive Swann Porter Building among the other student affairs offices.
